A Waited Call

I was freaking bored. Mundane. As usual, I will be surfing the net trying to kill boredom. Suddenly, my handphone screamed on top of its voice because apparently I put my ringing volume to the maximum. So you imagine how loud it can get. I quickly press the answer button without hesitation to avoid my family scolding me due to my noisy ringtone.

“Hello.”

“Hi, I am calling from MOE. Can I speak to Faridahhhh…”

(I interrupted.)

“HUH?”

“Eh no no. Khairunnisa.”

“Hmm ya speaking”

“I understand that you have applied for School Laboratory Technician on 31^st January 2007. Are you currently working?”

“Err. No.”

“Ok. So are you still interested in the position?”

“Hmm. Ya”

“Ok. We will like to call you down for an interview on 7^th March at 2.45pm. Can you take a piece of paper to jot down the details?”

“Ok sure. Hold on”

(In my heart I was like NOW THEN YOU CALL ME?! What if I get the invitation letter from university? Can I kill you?)

“Hello”

“Ya. It is on the 7^th of March at 2.45pm. Please bring along your NRIC, Birth Certz, etc.”

(Basically all those documents I brought for my interview for teaching position.)

“Oh ya. The venue is at Interview Centre Level 3 Podium Block. Buona Vista Drive. You just take the MRT and alight at Buona Vista. Take the overhead bridge and you will see the grey building. That is the building”

(Yes I know where the MOE building is because I went for an interview just 2 months ago)

“I will leave you my contact number so if you have any queries you can just give me a call. My number is 6*******. Thank you”

“Alright. Thanks!”

Gulp! Another interview coming my way. If I failed this time round, I am going to kill the MOE people. They had made me come for an interview once and this will be my second time. You better not waste my time and give me the position, you understand? Don’t give me a hard time talking and wasting my saliva and still not get the position.

I wonder what kind of questions they will be asking me this time round. The other time when I was called down for an interview regarding the teaching position, they asked me about experience dealing with kids. Since school laboratory are only located in secondary schools and colleges, I am sure they won’t be asking me about my experience dealing with kids. Perhaps they will be asking me for my experience working in laboratory. What are my responsibilities as a school lab technician? This is something which I am unsure of and need to find out. FMT again. Anyway readers, pray for me that I will get the position okay?
